Puerto Rico in the Rockies

obw_puerto_rico073.jpgWhat’s the next best thing to going to Puerto Rico? How about bringing Puerto Rico to the Rocky Mountains? I just spent the week with 33 Puerto Rican Expeditionary Learning teachers and administrators, the first ever Colorado Outward Bound course conducted entirely in Spanish. This was not only a huge honor, challenge, and success, but it was incredible fun to laugh all week with such an inspired group of maestros. (more…)

ob_me.jpgI’m headed to the mountains again this week, to the country’s highest town and beyond, where I’ll be romping in the woods on assignment with Outward Bound Wilderness. The participants are all teachers from the Expeditionary Learning Schools Outward Bound program in Puerto Rico, here in Colorado for some climbing, hiking, and fun. (more…)
