Guest Post: Egypt – A Brief Travel Guide
The Red Sea Peninsula, best known for its clear waters, exotic fish, coral reefs, thriving beach resorts and year-round sunshine, has developed into a popular holiday destination. —travelsupermarket.com
When visiting Egypt for the first time, you may find yourself overwhelmed by the amount of information presented to you. There is so much to consider that you could find yourself being no better off than when you first started researching it.
The most important thing to do when first looking into a holiday in Egypt is to compare the costs before you finalise your booking. By visiting a price comparison site like travelsupermarket.com, you will be able to see what deals are available.
There are so many sites to see and things to do in Egypt that a relatively short trip may seem impossible. This however, doesn’t have to be the case, it is possible to visit all the hot spots and enjoy a very memorable holiday.
Most classical Egyptian tours are usually based on the most important monuments, or clusters of monuments, which often relate to the Pharaohs. For example, you may be surprised to hear that there are well over 100 pyramids in Egypt and obviously, taking time out to visit them all would be nearly impossible, especially on a short trip. However, the most important of these, and therefore the ones that most visitors would wish to see are all within a short trip from the city of Cairo.
It is helpful to know that most of the brief, classical tours will usually cover the Cairo area, Luxor and Aswan and along the Nile. Of course, there are many other sites worth seeing around Egypt, but if you’re only visiting for a week to ten days, then these areas will be more than enough to give you a great holiday to remember.
A guide to holidays in Egypt brought to you by Bob Atkinson, Head of Travel at travelsupermarket.com.
