The Tranquilo Traveler
The Tranquilo Traveler is a celebration of voluntourism, slow travel, and other interesting ways to see the world. Travel writer and award- winning Moon Handbooks author Joshua Berman created The Tranquilo Travel as a resource for world trippers and international volunteers, a window to the author’s travels in Nicaragua, Belize, and beyond, and an update of his books and articles.
Essential Belize Travel Bookmarks
These days, serious Belize-aholics enjoy a steady stream of info, images, tips, and itineraries, which are shared by thousands of people about travel in Belize. I always begin with ambergriscaye.com, (an extensive site about more than just Ambergris Caye and San Pedro); their message board is popping with opinions, questions, and answers.
Next, take a look at Marty Casado’s long list of Belize Blogs, which he updates regularly.
Finally, bookmark The Belize Forums, which also boasts a constant stream of posts from travelers both in and outside Belize. Feel free to add your favorite Belize links in the comments below.

I’m writing to request that you add a link to Mr. Bonnell & Sons Tours. Mr. Bonnell is a local tour guide who I met on vacation. He and his sons provided me with many great tours and I had my daughter build a website for him.
By touring with Captian Bonnell you can rest assured that you’re both supporting the local economy and touring Belize in local style. Mr. Bonnell and his sons know the area and can take you on a local ecotour like no other. Whether you want to fish, snorkel, or take a jungle river tour, Mr. Bonnell will treat you the best tour by a local family in the area.
