The Tranquilo Traveler
The Tranquilo Traveler is a celebration of voluntourism, slow travel, and other interesting ways to see the world. Travel writer and award- winning Moon Handbooks author Joshua Berman created The Tranquilo Travel as a resource for world trippers and international volunteers, a window to the author’s travels in Nicaragua, Belize, and beyond, and an update of his books and articles.
Interview about Travel Writing
Liz Lewis is a freelance writer living in New Zealand. For years she has been saying she wants to write for a living, but has never really done anything about it. Until now. She describes her blog as “a journey from dream to reality as I work toward becoming a successful freelance writer. My ultimate goal - to drop the day job and become a travelling writer.” One of the things she’s done toward this goal is to ask a series of professional writers about how they accomplished their own publishing dreams. I am lucky enough to be featured in this month’s “Interview with a Travel Writer.” Enjoy.

Hi Joshua, thanks for participating in the ‘interview with a travel writer’ series. I’ve been amazed at how willing everyone has been to be involved in my interviews.
Finding out how other writers developed and what tips they have is a great learning process for me and for all my readers also interested in breaking into freelance writing.
Cheers from New Zealand,
Liz
