The Tranquilo Traveler

The Tranquilo Traveler is a celebration of voluntourism, slow travel, and other interesting ways to see the world. Travel writer and award- winning Moon Handbooks author Joshua Berman created The Tranquilo Travel as a resource for world trippers and international volunteers, a window to the author’s travels in Nicaragua, Belize, and beyond, and an update of his books and articles.

flick.jpgI finally started a Flickr photo pool from my ongoing travels. I’ve got Africa, Pakistan, Laos, and a bunch of other stuff up there so far. The shots are organized into different photo sets which I create, which makes it easy to browse. Check out these shots from Pakistan and these Signs from around the world. Also, I started this Guidebooks in Action group, for a goof, to which anybody can contribute. Click away and feel free to keep an eye on the fancy new Tranquilo Traveler Flickr badge (to your right) for new images.

Flickr.com, by the way, in case you’re just hiking out of the wilderness after a multi-year expedition, is the hippest new online photo management and sharing application. So far, I’m down with the hype.
