The Tranquilo Traveler
The Tranquilo Traveler is a celebration of voluntourism, slow travel, and other interesting ways to see the world. Travel writer and award- winning Moon Handbooks author Joshua Berman created The Tranquilo Travel as a resource for world trippers and international volunteers, a window to the author’s travels in Nicaragua, Belize, and beyond, and an update of his books and articles.
Travel Writing Contest Deadline: November 15

I just submitted my entry to Travelers’ Tales‘ new annual competition: The Solas Awards. The deadline is November 15 and there are various cash and recognition prizes — there is also a $20 entrance fee (more if you want to be considered for three or more categories). The Solas Awards “honor writers whose work inspires others to explore.” And that’s what’s it’s all about, non?
