The Tranquilo Traveler
The Tranquilo Traveler is a celebration of voluntourism, slow travel, and other interesting ways to see the world. Travel writer and award- winning Moon Handbooks author Joshua Berman created The Tranquilo Travel as a resource for world trippers and international volunteers, a window to the author’s travels in Nicaragua, Belize, and beyond, and an update of his books and articles.
More Gordon College Blog Power

There are now 39 comments on the “Why We Came to Pakistan” post about Tay’s Great-Grandfather and his alma mater, Gordon College. These comments are all from Pakistanis, many of them scattered around the world, and all of them excited to connect wtih fellow Gordonians. I’ve been meaning to collect the emails from these folks and help them put a website together, but I haven’t done it yet, and in the meantime, they keep coming!
Fortunately, some geeky Gordonian has taken hold of matters, as there is now a wikipedia page about Gordon College, a Google Group for alumni (though it is only registering one member), and a Wiki on Dr. R.R. Stewart, the man who brought us all together in the first place by bringing my wife’s grandmother into the world in Jhelum, Pakistan.

So what’s it like being back in Colorado? Lots of people saying funny things like: Now, are you finally going to “settle down”?
