Colombo Bomb Blast: We are okay

Violence in the East has been on the rise in recent week, at the hands of Tamil Tiger terrorists, and today, the first attack in the capital since 2004 does not fare well for the ongoing peace talks.

We are far from the blast, still up in Nuwara Eliya, and are planning on spending about 30 hours in Colombo this weekend, on our way to Africa. We’ll stay away from army garrisons and high-ranking generals (the target of today’s bomb).

The bomber, by the way, was a female pretending to be pregnant.
