The Tranquilo Traveler
The Tranquilo Traveler is a celebration of voluntourism, slow travel, and other interesting ways to see the world. Travel writer and award- winning Moon Handbooks author Joshua Berman created The Tranquilo Travel as a resource for world trippers and international volunteers, a window to the author’s travels in Nicaragua, Belize, and beyond, and an update of his books and articles.
Killing Fields Sketch: Art Imitates Life

San Francisco-based Artist/Activist Todd Berman made this drawing based on my recent Killing Fields blog entry. It’s not the first time Todd’s art has spun off something in my/our lives since he oozed his way out of the same womb as me 29 years ago.
In fact, Todd has devoted an entire page of his website, TheArtDontStop.org, to brotherly paintings and drawings, entitled, appropriately enough, “The Tranquilo Traveler.” Some of his artwork, including this drawing, is for sale, and Todd does commissions as well.
