The Tranquilo Traveler

The Tranquilo Traveler is a celebration of voluntourism, slow travel, and other interesting ways to see the world. Travel writer and award- winning Moon Handbooks author Joshua Berman created The Tranquilo Travel as a resource for world trippers and international volunteers, a window to the author’s travels in Nicaragua, Belize, and beyond, and an update of his books and articles.

It’s nice having like-minded people out there, sharing and celebrating the idea–and action–of tranquilo travel (or whatever name they use for slow, thorough, curious tripping). My interview with Rolf Potts was mentioned at both WorldHum.com and gadling.com. I am grateful to my new friends at those excellent sites, and to their readers as well; I hope we can meet in person some day, preferably in some strange, hot place.
